लंबी जुदाई

महीने भर के लिए बिछड़े थे,
पर साल गुज़रने को आई।
केहते थे एक पल जी नहीं सकते,
अब तो बस साथ है तन्हाई ।

कभी रोज़ मिलने की ज़िद करते थे,
अब मीलों की दूरी भी नहीं खटकते।
कभी न बिछड़ेंगे जिंदगी भर के लिए,
वो किए वादे अब तो याद भी नहीं आते।

ख़यालों में आपके हर इक दिन हमारा साल बराबर था,
आपके लिए वो आखरी मुलाकात बस कल ही तो था।
कभी हर गम हर खुशी बांटा करते थे,
अब वो प्यार भरी बातें कहाँ हुआ करती हैं ।

साल भर मैं शायद ही कोई पल बीता था
जब आपको देखने को आंखें न तरसी हो,
अब तो कोई नज़ारा भी नहीं भाता,
पता नहीं अब कब आपका दीदार हो ।

न जाने हमसे क्या हो गयी खता,
जो किस्मत भी हमसे रूठ सी गयी,
जिसको सुबह शाम दिल में बसाते थे,
उनसे ही मिली बस लंबी जुदाई ।

still do their job.

On cold nights like these, I miss you even more.

You are not here to help me finish that big steaming bowl of chicken soup.

You are not here for me to put my cold hand inside the big pocket of your overcoat.

You are not here to wrap your arms around me while I rubbed the tip of my cold nose on your neck.

You are not here to get annoyed at how I always sleep with my feet outside the blanket however cold it got.

You are not here and so on cold nights like these I miss you even more.

हर पन्ने में तेरा हीं नाम पढ़ रहा है

इक दौर का हिस्सा कमाल रखा है.
इश्क का नाम हमने बवाल रखा है.
खुद के लिए ही जाल बिछा रखा है.

किस्सा तेरा कोई सभांल रखा है.
कौन बताये तुम्हें हमने आज भी
अलमारी में सिर्फ एक रुमाल रखा है.
