Every night, I stay awake
Because my brain works good at this late
New thoughts strikes in it every moment
Eager to pen down all of them,
The rope of words, Which it has woowen
I sleep late nights, this habit of mine
Have ruined my every
family member's night
Because I do not
switch off the tubelight
But I don't mind, is this fine??
Now I promised them to sleep on time
But can it be possible to
stop my rhyming mind??

Lighter the memories, closer the distance rolled

जब गरीबी ठहाके लगाकर मुस्करा रही, मदहोश सा सपने बुन रहा था वो
अर्श की ज़मीन पर बचपन की लाचारी में चांदनी सा उतर रहा था वो
उस सूनी अंधेरी सन्नाटे भरी रात में हीरे सा चमक रहा था वो
बचपन में खिलौनों से इश्क ना पूछो,समझदारों की भीड़ में दो कदम आगे निकल रहा था वो
उसके अस्तित्व की तशरीह ना पूछो, नादान व्यक्तित्व सा निखर रहा था वो
जफ़ा के हालात उसके ना पूछो , कीचड़ में कमल सा खिल रहा था वो
सूरज से लेकर आग उन्मत की आज़ार में tubelight सा जल रहा था वो

अर्श-आसमान
तशरीह-व्याख्या
जफ़ा-जुल्म
उन्मत-संसार
आज़ार-तकलीफ

Under the skies painted bright red
Over the lushness of pastures
There lived a girl named after prosperity
She's got the brightest of eyes
shadowed with sleeplessness
A painter, to her is the world of canvas
She doesn't know about the colours,
she throws on the monochromatic lives.
