why should i be afraid
to walk down an ally at night?
strolling along a city Street
is just a basic rights,
why should i be scared
to show a little skin?
wearing a low cut top
is not exactly a sin,
why should i be worried
when I've had a bit to drink?
I should not have to be afraid
of what other people think,
why do you get to tell me
what I can and cannot do?
instead of changing what I wear
change the world's view
as far as progress is concerned
we've still got a ways to go,
before you tell me not to drink,
tell rapist "no" means no.

कैसा समां आ गया
मुझे मलाल होता है
स्याही कम मिलती है अखबारों में
जैसे खून का इस्तेमाल होता है
कल फिर किसी बेटी की बारी
मुदा अगर ना बहाल होता है
दो-चार दिन खूब चलेंगी खबरें
फिर कहाँ उस बात पर सवाल होता है
मैं भी अपने घर बैठा हूँ शांत होकर
मेरी सगी नहीं थी तो इतना ना ख़्याल होता है
ये मेरा वही भारत महान है
जिसमें इतना कुछ कमाल होता है

इस गुनाह को माफ करें ऐसा कोई पीर नहीं...
किस हक से जला दिया तुमने उसको...
वो किसी की बेटी है तुम्हारे बाप की जागीर नहीं..😭😠

नोचि गयी बोटियाँ उसकी जमीन पे पड़ी-पड़ी,
हमेशा की तरह आज फिर,
देश में बह रही अश्को की लड़ी...!! 
लग गयी है जुलूसों की फेसबुक ट्विटर पे झड़ी, 
अखबारों न्यूज़ चैनलों में,
हेड लाइंस भी बन रही हैं बड़ी-बड़ी...!! 
२-४ दिन का कोलाहल है,
फिर हर तरफ वही चुप्पी होगी पड़ी, 
छोड़ो साहब फिर भूल जाएगे सब,
खुद के घर की नहीं है ना वो परी...!!
