BISCUITS — A SHORT STORY
When Ranjan joined a new school, his lunch—a pack of Parle G—made everyone curious. The rich kids ridiculed 'G mane gareeb' & the middle class kids sympathised with Ranjan, offering him their modest pooris & potato fries.
Ranjan dismissed them both. He sat next to the basketball court & to an amused audience comprising both the rich & the poor, he performed his sorcery. He filled his bottle cap with hot water from his thermos & took out the classy Tetley tea bag along with a small pouch of milk whitener. The novelty of bringing tea to school got Ranjan many fans. The kids inhaled the warm smell of tea that floated in the air. Ranjan dipped those biscuits, two at a time, until they got moist enough to dissolve into his mouth. Mmmm. The gareeb biscuits had suddenly become lavish, inspiring awe & envy. Rich kids who'd ridiculed earlier came over & introduced themselves to this suave tea-loving gentleboy. Somewhere on the ground, the discarded Parle G wrapper read: 'Not for sale. For the Indian Railways,' where Ranjan's single father worked as a cleaner, pocketing leftovers from the trays of suave gentlemen and ladies that despised the powdery railway tea.-
I love Good-day.
But, She loves Oreo.
Apparently, I also started loving Oreo.
Bcoz, Oreo started making our day better.-

एक दिन की बात है कि बिस्कुट के डिब्बे में एक ही बिस्कुट बचा था।बड़ा बेटा तब छ: साल का था। उसकी दादी ने कहा, ये बिस्कुट तू ही खा ले।मगर मैंने कहा कि दोनों बेटे आधा-आधा खाएंगे, बांटकर।
उस छोटी-सी बात का यह असर हुआ कि छोटे बेटे को स्कूल में भी अगर टॉफी मिलती तो,वह उसे भी घर लाता और दोनों भाई बांटकर खाते-

Guests are coming to the house, Father is taking his step, Mom is arranging some snacks and tea in the kitchen, Mom calls me from the kitchen, I go in. She grabs me a "biscuit" and a tray of water And says, go and give it to the guests, And listen, no eat on the way, I am carrying a tray, my heart is telling to my greed and hands are going to grab all the "biscuits", But if the plate decoration is spoiled, I will be caught, thinking that I did not touch it.
It is too late now, guests are not yet gone, ever since I have placed the plate of biscuits on the table, since then I have been praying that all those "biscuits"they left away without eating, so that I can eat all . Then the guests started going, Mommy held the tray of glass in my hand and said keep it in the kitchen, and took the plate of biscuits in her hand, my heartbeats was increased, breath was getting stuck, and when I came out ,
My younger sister had smoked all the biscuits, Then I felt that my childhood was very bad, I had to grow up to buy a lot of "biscuits". But when I grew up, I don't like "biscuits" nor grow up, I miss my childhood very much and "biscuits"too.

The row in front of Mr.Khan's house is not so long.So the security guards are also sitting in relax,otherwise they have to do a very tough job to maintain the fans on other days who comes to meet Mr.Khan.
Mr.Khan is a famous actor.Everyone knows him now.During this lockdown,so many actors are contributing to PM's Fund and also doing many noble works for the helpless people.Mr.Khan also decides to do something for them,the row of these people has come because he wants to give some food items to them today.
"What rubbish!!such a big actor and look what is he giving!only two packets of biscuits to each one?"
"Yes,so shameful,but we are helpless now,let's take what are coming."
At last all of them have taken two two packets of biscuits and return back to their homes.When they opened the packs,they find one gold coin in each pack.They just couldn't believe in their eyes.They have come to realize that they were thinking so cheap about Mr.Khan.He is not only a good actor but a great human being also.-
