I flip through the photographs of the two of us
from our journeys taken together before the lockdown.
There is no photo of the places we went to
but of us, in all those places:
you sleeping on my shoulders in Shatabdi,
I gaping at the commotion inside a dargah,
or the one where I'm tearfully feasting on
aloo parathas with hot momo sauce
& you're slurping on the desi chowmein
that you call: 'China's illicit child.'

The places are now forgotten,
their details amiss like a forgotten password.
Now when someone asks me where did I last travel to,
I don't say a thing. Not a word. Nada.
'To you' sounds cheesy, no matter how true.

SUCCESS is a controversial word.

Coz may be for-

#An Olympic aspirant winning
a gold medal
is SUCCESS.

#For Virat Kohli as a skipper winning
every single game for the nation
is SUCCESS.

#For a begger successfully
begging 3 meals in a day
is SUCCESS.

#And for our parents seeing
us happy & successful
is SUCCESS.

How you define SUCCESS??

If i could bring three people back to my life they would be my Grandparents as they are the only hope to erase every misery, and third person would be the parents of that child who had lost them someday.

जब मैंने अपना दिल खोया तो साथ में चैन भी जाता रहा। मिली तो बस बेचैनी और तन्हाई।

किसी से मुझे मात खानी नहीं है
अभी तुमसे लड़ने की ठानी नहीं है

उसे तो मैं लेकर रहूँ जो मिरा है

हल्की या भारी उठाउंगा मैं ही
तुम्हें ज़हमते भी उठानी नहीं है

वहीं पर ही क्यों चाहते हो नहाना

मिरे दुख,परेशानियाँ,तकलीफ़े भी

मिले जब चने दांत मुंह में नहीं थे
अगर साज़ है तो कमानी नहीं है

अभी से मनाने लगे जश्न तुम भी
अभी हार मैंने तो मानी नहीं है

लगी आग जब भी तो मैं ही जलूँगा
कभी आंच तुम तक तो आनी नहीं है
