First time

Today I watch you closely in the half open eyes of a kitten. The kitten only born today, her mother all the more protective holding her not letting her even touch the floor. But in some quick past moments when she touches the floor, I can see her crawling, rather trying to crawl, trying to give food to her one day old curious mind, that wants to know this world, wants to open eyes to see and feel it all.

तुम्हारी भी किस्मत अजीव हेना,
फूल बही है।।
पर कोई भगवान पर चढ़ा
तो कोई अर्थी पर ,
तुम दूसरो की दुनियां खुसबू से महकाते हो,
पर वही लोग तुम्हारी दुनिया उजाड़ देते हे,
तुम्हे तुम्हारी बगिया से दूर करके,
खूसबू खत्म होते ही तुम्हे फेक दिया जाता है।।
सबको अपनी तरह महकना सिखादो,
खुशियां हो या गम बांटना सिखा दो।।

तुम खाली सा लम्हा नहीं हो
मैं हूँ न ।

कँप-कँपाते हुए होठ और ये सुर्ख आंखें
इन सब की

सिर्फ तुम ही गवाह नहीं हो
मैं हूँ न ।
