Her brown cheeks
turned into pink,
When I titrated my love
against her heart.

I carefully inserted a ball of my
sunshine smile into a florence flask.
It stayed inert from all the striking storms
and pelting hailstones throughout the day.
By night, I filled drops I stored, from my eyes
into the flask, drowning my smile.
The next morning, two bird like forceps
assisted me in levering my drowned smile.

This is one such titration, I've been
repeating since my young adulthood.
I just hope the stream doesn't run so swiftly that
the flask of my life breaks apart once and for all.
