यूं ही

कोई दरवाजा खटखटा रहा है,
हर बार खोला जाए....कोई जरूरी नहीं।

दो तकीये पैरों में पड़े हैं,
हमेशा सिराहने रहें.... कोई जरूरी नहीं।

दूसरी भाषा में टीवी चल रहा है,
कुछ समझ में आए.... कोई जरूरी नहीं।

एक चींटी, एक-दो मच्छर-मक्खी भी हैं,
इन्हें मारने की सोचूं ....कोई जरूरी नहीं।

देख रही हूं, सबके हाथ-पैर हैं,
मैं ही काम करूं.... कोई जरूरी नहीं।

इस घर में छोटे बड़े सब रहते हैं,
मुझसे ज्यादा....कोई जरूरी नहीं।

ये किसने करवट बदलने के लिए कहा,
रविवार को इतना भी करूं... कोई जरूरी नहीं।

Sunday:
the sound of turning

When we woke up that particular sunday, we both were pretty excited. A solar eclipse was going to occur that day around mid-noon. His mother had called us to give instructions to follow during the eclipse. Though we felt she was superstitious, we followed only to appease her. Hurriedly, we cooked and completed our breakfast. We quickly designed an eclipse viewer by watching a DIY video. The eclipse was about to begin. Huddled into a hug in the corner of our balcony, occassionally staring at the eclipsed sun through our device, we celebrated our first solar eclipse.

Today too is a solar eclipse. The pinhole camera is dusted and ready. But my sun is far away from my sight, ready to go to sleep, eclipsed by our distance, in lands far, far away.

Both of us always loved going on long walks. We believed that's the best way to explore. One Sunday evening, while we were on our walk to the seaside, we found a young kitten struggling to walk. It was very timid and its voice seemed like it had been crying. He gently picked it up & tried calming it. We asked people in the nearby street shops if they knew the kitten. We took a rickshaw and reached the nearby vet who was at the cat cafe. We went inside & took the kitten. We loved the place & asked the staff about the concept of the cat cafe. They explained it to us. We decided to explore there for an hour. The cats gave us no attention. When the snacks we ordered arrived, I picked up a fry but felt someone pulling it from me. Turned out there was another kitten who was snatching it from me. The cute banter went on and soon we realised we had spent 3 hours. As we were getting up to leave, that same kitten tried pulling my jeans asking me to stop. With my heavy heart, I had to bid goodbye with a promise we will see her every weekend.

Today I visited the cat cafe. The kitten is now all grown up having fun. It looked at me asking with love. It made me a question,
"Where is my hooman?"

भास्कर की गुरुत्वाकर्षण शक्ति के कारण समस्त ग्रह इसकी तरफ खिंचे रहते हैं,
प्रभाकर की ऊर्जा पेड़, पौधे, समुद्र ,सोख लेते हैं।
दिनेश की ऊर्जा पानी को भाप बनाने में काम आती है, इसलिए दिवाकर की नर्म धूप सर्दियों में खूब भाती है।
