चीखकर हर ज़िद पूरी करा लेता है,
घर का इकलौता बेटा।
मगर बिटिया गुज़ारा कर लेती है,
टूटी पायल जोड़कर।।

तुम्हारी पायल खनक कर दीवाना कर गई

उसकी पायल में छिपी है सावन की घटा,
वो हर शाख में बहार भर देती है।
रुकती है जहाँ खिल जाते हैं गुलाब,
गुज़रती जहाँ से, हर आँख भर देती है।

CATCH THE SOUND!

My mom bought her a pair anklets today.
And my little girl spent her entire day
rounding on herself playing detective to find out where that tinkling sound came from...
She pointed her ear, babbling her version of "Listen, dad" to me.
I pointed her feet, repeating " look down, princess" to her.
And we went on and on, to my wife and mom's delight without an end card to our own let's-catch-the-sound-daddy show.

पायल से ज़्यादा तुम्हारे मुस्कराने में मस्ती है ,यह पायल तो तुम्हारी मुस्कान के आगे बहुत सस्ती है,
बहुत सस्ती है।

अक्सर पूछते हैं,
मेरे यार दोस्त और सहपाठी,
धीमी और सधी चाल का
क्या राज़ है ?
कहने को तो हँस कर
टाल देता हूँ ।
समझाना मुश्किल है,
के मेरा सम्हल के चलना
आदत नहीं मजबूरी है ।
तेरे आस पास होने का
एहसास ही काफी है ।
कल तो तुम्हारी
पायल की खनक पर ही
फिसल गया था ।
