हाँ मैं आता हूँ, चुपके से,
तुमने देखा न हो, महसूस किया होगा !
रात के उस सन्नाटे में, मेरा शोर सुना होगा!
गर्मी की आधी रात के सर्द हवा के झोंके में,
मुझे महसूस तो किया होगा !
खाली मकान में, जब सिर्फ तुम थे,
अचानक हुई हलचल में, मेरी आहट सुनी होगी!
आधी रात में तीन बजे, चूड़ी खनखनाता हूँ,
हाँ मैं आता हूँ, चुपके से,
सुनसान रातों में, तुमने देखा न सही,
पर महसूस किया होगा!
दिन में सौ बार आते जाते आइना देखते हो,
पर रात में तीन बजे देखते नहीं?
डरते हैं मुझसे सब, कहीं मैं दिख गया तो?
मेरी आहट से जब तुम सहम जाते हो,
हाँ आता हूँ मैं, चुपके से,
तेरे आस पास ही रहता मैं, देखा न सही,
महसूस किया होगा!
मेरे कदमों की दौड़ती सी आवाज़,
अमावस की रात में, तुमने देखा न सही,
महसूस तो किया होगा!
हर रोज़ अँधेरी रात में,
जब दुनिया सोती है, मैं आता हूँ,
चुपके से!!
