My life is like Indian Metros,
There are a lot of people
Mostly strangers
And insignificant
Traffic is unbearable
Yet life goes on....
You can't understand city
Without using it's public
Transportation system.

खड़ा हुआ मैं एक दिन सड़क पर,
आया बहुत सा शोर ।
समझ ना पाया मैं,
तभी एक धमाका हुआ उस ओर।
आवाज़ थी टायर के फटने की,
जिसने माहौल बना दिया घनघोर।
देखें मैंने बहुत से वाहन,
जिन्होंने बदल दिए मेरी आंखों के तौर।

ब्रम-ब्रम करती मोटरसाइकिलें ,
ट्रिंग-ट्रिंग करती साइकिलें,
जीपें भी करती बीप-बीप,
पो-पो करती कारें,
ऑटो भी कुछ कम नहीं,
इन सभी ने लगा दिए जीवन में चांद तारे।

अब रह ही क्या गया था सुनने के लिए,
मजबूर‌ कर दिया मुझे सोचने पर ओर।
तभी ऊपर से गया झू-झू करता एक हवाई जहाज,
मैंने डाला दिमाग पर जोर।
खड़ा हुआ मैं एक दिन सड़क पर,
आया बहुत सा शोर ।
