walking down the beach with waves crashing into each other but leaving a salty smell with a sweet aftertaste, which always makes me happy.

सागर किनारे....

भीगे समंदर के किनारे...
यह गीले अलसाए से रेत..
मेरे पाँव में छुपकर साथ चले आते है,

और चाँदनी की ठंडाई में...
नहाये कुछ अबरख...
खुद की शरारती चमक पर मुझे उकसाते हैं,

कि आओ एक पहर गुज़ारो...
कम से कम समंदर को ही निहारो..
इसलिए हम अक्सर...
गीले रेत और अबरख का एक टीला
तुम्हारे नाम का बना लेते है।

भीगे झील के किनारे...
यह गीले अलसाए से एहसास..
पाँव में छुपकर पानी से इश्क़ फरमाते है,

और शाम की ठंडाई में...
नहाये कुछ जुगनू और चाँदनी...
हमारी शरारतों पर लहरों को उकसाते हैं,

जैसे उनसे कहते हों,
जाओ एक पहर उनके पैरों के तले गुज़ारो...
कम से कम उनके इश्क़ को ही निहारो..
इसलिए हम दोनों अक्सर...
गीले रेत का टीला,
अपने नाम का बना लेते है!

क्या पता हमारी गैर मौजूदगी में,
कोई अपनी कहानी बुन ले...
इस शाम में झील के किनारे,
कोई अपनी ज़िंदगी गुज़ार ले..!

SEASIDE

Standing by the seaside
Watching the waves that come along the tide
I slowly and gradually realised
Dreams are so easy to materialise...

All you need is to set yourself free
Free from the worries and cries
Free from the shackles that tied you down
And just set your self free..

Just like the breeze blowing across your face
Just like the waves that move at its pace
And feel the joy and bliss within you
Which for long you felt was untrue...

Ever seen the sunset?
The flames taking a dip in the sea, craving for the cool blue and ending up dissolved in the night sky with the last of the trace of its existence kept safely in the tiny lights strewn across the sky?

एकाकी समुंदर किनारे बैठना
और शुन्य में ताकते रहना,
दुर दिखती कशतियाँ
जो दीर्घ सफ़र पर निकली है,
निरंतर उछलती कुदती लैहरे
जो किनरो को छुकर जाती है,
वापस आकर अपना एहसास दिलाती है
हर बार मुझे इक नया सबक सिखाती है,
क्षितिज को समजने की मेरी नाकामयाब कोशिष​
कुदरत को निहारना और उसमें घंटो खो जाना
मुझे पसंद है ..!!

A day spent on sea side is now a memory.
All the pleasures I recieve that time,
has stuck in my mind.
Can't forget the experience
I recieved with such a delight.
