क्यूँ दिखाये थे तुमने ये शहर के रास्ते ऐ-ख़ुदा,
क्या इतनी बेरहमी से करना था तुम्हे मुझे मेरे अपनों से जुदा..
क्या इतनी बड़ी हुई थी मुझसे कोई खता बता ना ख़ुदा..
जिस परिवार की भूख मिटाने को तू रास्ता दिखा गया था,
देख आज उसी रास्ते पर मेरा दम निकल गया है..
इतना तो रहम करता की मुझे घर तक पहुंचने देता,
वहां इंतजार में थे माँ-बाबा पत्नी बेटी और बेटा..
जीवन भर मैं ने घर बनाये आज मेरे अपने बेघर हो गए,
तू कहाँ ख़ामोश और बेपरवाह हुए बैठा है ऐ-ख़ुदा,
बचा ले अब से और भी अपने हो रहे है बिन मिले अपनों से जुदा..
