कितनी दुर्लभ रही ज़िन्दगी
इतवार को आती और चन्द्रवार को लौट जाती रही..

जो ठहराव में उसमे ढूंढता रहा
वो मुजमे तलाशती रही..

फिर हुई वो शाम
और छुपते छुपाते नज़रे फिर वो चुराती रही..

ढूंढता रहा वो कल जिसमे मिलता सुकू
मिला पर वो आज जिसका कल फिर मिला ही नही..

अनंत हुई ज़िन्दगी के वो "काश" की गिनती
मन के वो विचारों को छूने को आकाश फिर मिला ही नही..

बीती वो ऐसे के जैसे कोई गहरी थकान के बाद की नींद
फिर खुली आंखें पर सवेरा अभी हुआ ही नही..

जो अंधेरों में राब्ता ना रखे
वो उजालों में दिखे ही ना तो क्या ही बात हो..

Apparently, putting trust on
someone is like taking a full breath,
one can't simply have half..

पर जब खो देने का डर ना रहे,
तो पा लेने का दबाव भी नही रहता
फिर चाहे वो कोई इंसान हो या कोई चीज..
