यू तो हसी बनी रहती है लबों पर ,
पर अब खिल खिलाकर हसने की गुंजाईश नहीं हैं....

खुद को समझने में ही इतने मसरूफ हैं ,
के किसी के लिए कोई समझाइश नहीं हैं...

दर्द देकर जिंदगी ने ऐसा पाठ पढ़ाया है,
के अब शिकायतें होकर भी किसी से शिकायतें नहीं हैं...

खुद से इतनी मोहब्बत है हमे ,
के किसी और से इश्क की ख्वाहिश नहीं हैं...

जो पूरी ना हो पाए
एसी कोई फरमाइशें नहीं हैं...

आज समझे ! बड़े पर्दे की हँसी उसकी ख़ुशी नहीं थी
वो रूका होगा , मगर क़ामयाबी उसकी रूकी नहीं थी
मरकर भी सीखा गया जीने का सलीक़ा हम सबको
कलाकार था वो! उसमें बे-दिली थी बुज़दिली नहीं थी
