Every night I stay awake and try to contemplate...

The distance that I have come,

From the person that I am to the person I wish to become...

And every night the odometer shows, how far I have sailed...

But sadly does not tell which direction I have travelled...

If only there was a navigation system built in our heart,

So that we could reroute when we have drifted too far,

And know when to let loose, to just enjoy the scenic route...

bitter winter, sheets of ice paving the way; my snow scooter suddenly stopped in the midst of nowhere. Knowing not what to do I sat still for a few minutes the icy cold winds beating all around. I got a call from the camp as if they felt the dilemma I was in. I spoke calmly into the mouth piece and they said it would take ten minutes to reach where I am. Thank God for these modern technologies or else I would have been stuck out in nowhere without help; could not even expect any in such remote areas. But then, with a snow scooter I thought instead of waiting I could at least try reviving it. I got off the scooter and stepped gingerly into the crunchy snow. Looked around and could see far away a mother bear and her single cub, they were thankfully poddling towards north; the cub trying hard to keep up with Mum.
