.....और बेरोजगारी तो इस कदर बढ़ी हुई है कि अगर नाले को साफ करने के लिए मशीन काम कर रही हो , तो उसे देखने के लिए भी 10 -15 लोगों की भीड़ इक्ट्ठा हो ही जाती है ।।

हाय रे कोरोना , हाय रे बेरोज़गारी . ,
न जाने कैसे फैली ये महामारी . !
पूरी दुनिया ख़ुश थी . ,
बड़े ही मौज़ से गुज़र रही थी ये ज़िन्दगी हमारी . !
अभी क्या कम थीं बीमारियां हमारे देश में . ,
जो फैल गई हमारे देश में ऐसी काल रूपी बीमारी . !
बड़ा ही अज़ीब सा दौर चल रहा है हमारे देश का . ,
दर - बदर की ठोकरें खाने में ही गुज़र जाएगी ये ज़िन्दगी हमारी . !
बड़ी मेहनत है , बड़ी ही मशक्कत है और बहुत हैं परेशानियां ज़िन्दगी में . ,
आज़ फ़िर से आ पड़ी है हमारे कंधों पर ज़िम्मेदारी . !
बेरोज़गार हैं सभी , घूम रहे हैं नौकरी की तलाश में . ,
आज़ पहली बार देखी हमने अपने देश में इतनी बेरोज़गारी . !
कैसे गुज़रेगी अब ये ज़िन्दगी हम सभी की . ,
आज़ फ़िर से बढ़ी हमारे देश में इतनी बेरोज़गारी . !
क्या करें हम , सब समझ से परे है , कोई रास्ता तो बताए हमें . ,
आख़िर कैसे गुज़रेगी अब सारी ज़िन्दगी हमारी . !

मै अपनी आजादी से करता हूं लक्ष्य की सवारी,
आदत एक भी मेरी तुझे नहीं होगी गवारी,
और नाही अभी तेरे शौख जितनी मेरी जेब भारी...

The Shadow of depression
Looms large
With death, disease and joblessness
To be confronted
At every step
With no relief in sight.

I am a worker while unemployed
Should I pursue job or happiness ?
Feeling uncertain, returned to village annoyed
Having no money , I stared at a sweet shop
A box that might have brighten up the family members
Seeing me with no usual gifts, the infectious smile of children's will be erased

Gathered courage and knocked the door
Suddenly, the heart beat raised rapidly
"Babu ji" they yelled with happiness and watery eyes
Hugged me warmly, I felt relaxed after awhile
Quickly, I pushed them back and felt regretful
"Disappointment is just the beginning "I thought
I said " I am advised to be self quarantined "
They laughed together with the same old smile and explained " Babuji, the room is already ready "
I kept smiling dumbfounded in love with them

कहता कमाल ये वक़्त है।

फिजूल गुनगुनाता भक्त है,
फ़िर झगड़ों मे बीताता वक़्त है।

बैठा बेकार ये भक्त है,
नियुक्ति के इंतज़ार मे गवाता वक़्त है।

जी जान से पढ़ता ये भक्त है,
दिन मे ज़िन्दगी से ज्यादा परीक्षाओं मे उसका वक़्त है।

युवा ये भक्त है,
कहता कमाल ये वक़्त है।
