most of my days
this year, today,
when words chose
to leave, I let diyas
light my night up.

oil reflected
wick burned
flame danced
whenever I
drowned
into your eyes;
those two diyas
enhanced.

While everyone lit their house with diyas,
A homeless lights up
Their heart with hope....

Chalo Deepawali k bahane unse baatein ho gayin,
Chalo Deepawali k bahane us kmre ki bhi safai ho gayi,
Chalo Deepawali k bahane thodi hi Sahi kuchh khushiyan is ghr bhi aa gayi,
Chalo kuchh to hai ki iss Baar bhi Deepawali man gayi.

भेद मिटा अपनों से, एक अलख जगानी है,
उच्च-नीच , गरीब-अमीर की हर दूरी मिटानी है,
हर नगरी अयोध्या बने, बस इतना प्रेम उमड़ जाए,
मन का अंधकार मिटा दे, आज ऐसी एक लो जलानी है।
