A Jar Full Of Stars!

Not one two or three but so many !
He pluck stars from sky,
And fill his jar till it overflows,
Night after night every night !
Then silently he enters,
In dreams of those,
Who lost every hope in life !
And plant some stars,
In their bleeding hearts,
And then kiss them goodbye !

Lying beside me in lavender fields
You were tracing clouds and making out shapes
I couldn't unsee,
I was reckoning ways
To scrape off the feelings growing like
Poison ivy on the walls of my chest,
You opened up like a closet
And showed me all the things
You'd been keeping in;
My heart was spiralling
Down into the pit
Of my stomach, but I could smell misery
From far away;
I closed my eyes to a silver moon
And woke up to a red sky
My hair had ants crawling
All over them and I was beginning
To dread what waited ahead;
Another sun collapsing
Another black hole in my eyes
I'm lying under a sky
Dripping with heat of hellfire
Serves me right
For inviting
Your fickle love in;
I've pickled my heart
And kept it in an airtight jar
I'll open it and taste heartache
Every time I find myself
Lying in a purple heaven
With a hollow hearted man.

DEAR HEART IV

Dear heart,
Listen to the songs of your advice
The songs that hold truth above lies
Listen to the practical words you give
When others ask for your wisdom
Words carefully sent through a sieve
Measured, true, as old as Adam

For there is nothing new under the sun
One dies as swift as another is born
There are newer ways to survive
But their roots travel still to the old
Today, to the bottom of the sea, we dive
Though with new equipment, seeking gold

Dear heart,
Please learn to listen to your own advice
For therein is the key to your eternal rise
The words that flow like a relentless stream
Hard truths, hard to implement, but true
Words that bridge between reality and dream
For in the care we show others, we find our due.
