Results Day!!

And amidst the already uncertain, scared situation suddenly comes the news "CBSE 12th results out!!". Immediately I fetch my laptop to open the site.. meanwhile dialling my cousin's number to get his roll number. The adrenaline rush of years back comes rushing back..the time when I checked my result.
But CBSE has ways to both calm and increase students anxiety by never disclosing the results at the scheduled time. The same story everytime!
Soon their site crashed and for the next few hours all we did was uselessly refresh the page for a billion times. Trying the IVRs additionally.
After hours finally we were able to check the results.
And ...yes..the result was worth the wait...my cousin secured a whopping 95.4. Yes!! I did my happy victory dance.
My 'chotu' , fussy eater, pizza lover baby brother has officially aced his school life.
He is all grown up!!
Suddenly his childhood flashes in front of me... suddenly I am too nostalgic
Suddenly I feel so old..
Suddenly I feel so proud.. suddenly I felt all grown up!!

After seeing our results *— % &Boys after Girls after
getting pass getting 95% *
marks *— % &Wish uhh the best to all passed students for bright future ☺️🎉❤️— % &

In 2018:- CBSE students gave surprise to the board by leaking the question paper.
In 2019:- CBSE gave surprise to their students by declaring the CBSE (xii) results without prior notice.

Relatives' hot topic is your marks.
Admission seeks your marks.
Your hobbies are being cursed for marks.
Your performance's judged by the marks.
Family's pride, name, praise, status is the topper.
Dad bought the party popper for the topper.
Teacher's pets are the toppers.
Professor listens only the toppers.
All the attention, appreciation, cheers, gifts, love are for the marks.
Once you enter the 10th grade, your life becomes your marks.
Poor marks become your birth marks.
And still we shout "Marks don't matter"
Yes ofcourse marks don't matter if you don't suffer all the above.
Marks don't matter if you, your family,
your society, companies you opt for,
professors, teachers, schools, colleges
never aim for marks and rank holders.
I wonder if growing up was based on marks on paper!
