"They did not agree, did they?"24 years old Danish asked, his startlement subsiding, the touch way too familiar.
"No" Joey as old as him, replied in a low voice.
Danish turned around and looked at Joey, sighing,he replied,"I knew it.They won't understand us."
"Can't we just run away?We will be happy together."Joey asked with pleading eyes.
"We can but-"
"I Know"Joey said stopping him in between.
"Our communities won't understand. Our families need us.They don't have anyone else to support them. They have supported us all their lives."Danish explained.
"Will we be okay? Will you be okay?" Joey asked distantly.
"No,we won't be.But our loved ones will be"Danish said.
"This is not fair" Joey told, anger appearing on his face.
"When was the world ever fair to us?" Danish answered.
"Will we still be friends atleast?" Joey asked almost desperate.
"I need no other friend except you. Loving does not always lead to having. So what we cannot love each other without getting prisoned? We can still live a different form of love. We can always be friends and also be dutiful sons to our families." Danish told.
They smiled, sadness diminishing with the sunset,a new reality waiting for them with the sunrise
