करवट बदल-बदल कर अब तक सोई नहीं वो
जाने क्या ऐसी बात थी की अबतक रोई नहीं वो
आँखें तक रही थी दरवाज़े को
कान उसकी सुन रही थे सारी आवाज़ें को
इतनी रात को वो लेती थी खर्राटें
लेकिन आज कर रही है खुद से ही बातें
बार बार देख रही है अपने फ़ोन को
क आखिर अबतक क्यों नहीं लौटी
जाने किस हाल में होगी उसकी बेटी
जाने उसका दिल ऐसे क्यों घबराया था
अभी कल ही अख़बार के एक खबर ने डराया था
उसने खुद को कोसा अब क्यों पचता रही हो
बाहर जाते वक़्त ही पूछना था की बेटी कहा जा रही हो
जिस माँ ने ख़्वाब हज़ारो अपनी बेटी के लिए बुना होगा
क्या हाल हुआ होगा उसका जब उसने अपनी बेटी का हाल सुना होगा.
