Teasing eyes that indicate humor;
A Delphic visage that conveys nil;
And scarlet lips that remain hushed--
These merely evince the existence
Of something amiss;
Yet, they don't necessarily manifest
What it is.
But, aye! She cries herself to sleep--
Her heart quivering with regret.

You know her, but nothing about her.
She wears a mask, a mask which she never removes.
Not because she doesn't want to be seen,
But because she can't bear seeing herself again.
She is afraid of the defeated-torchered face, her face.
The thought that her true visage,
Would bring her to miseries again,
Haunted her.
And so she decides,
To hide her innocent-self,
Behind the wicked character,
That the world avoids.

I am waiting for
the era when
wisdom will have
a preference over
visage. Can we please bring back
prudence and acumen and forget
about looks???

On the other side of the mirror I see the happy visage
of a blithe heart.. but familiar image?
Eyes sparkling shine,
A Visage so divine!

Bereft of wrinkles,signs of tire,
Beaming with pride ,heart's desire.
Charming countenance ,
Reflecting confidence!

I raised my eyebrows, so weary;
Her lucid identity was my query..

"I am The SHE, you wanted to be "
The maiden in the mirror was mocking at me...

Her visage of cheerfulness, except me
I was after all her best buddy
Nothing escapes my notice
I understand even the slightest changes
In her expression, her nuances

We need to visage
our shortcomings
If we really want to grow.
