Lost Words
As moon light filters through broken glass,
I lay here amidst a forest of hollow trees.
Static eyes, like bowls of blood,
my vacant heart, withering away beside me
He was stumbling through a park of thick weaves of branches and leaves.
Covered in gashes from pine trees, silky spider webs, and tripping over protruding roots. He walked right past me like I was never even there. I tried to call out to him, before realizing that I am in fact, trapped in a void of my former self, with my mouth sewn perfectly shut.
I'm chained in a darkened room. A room so sinister there is no way of knowing if I'm caged in a tiny box or if my whole world has been painted with shadows.
These emotions, they are greedy. They fill my body and soul with twisted metaphors of my unconscious feelings,
So as to deny me of making sense of them.
So as to deny me of speaking about them.
"Please, save me." I whispered. But it only merged with the ever whistling trees, lost for eternity.
