ਚੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ,
ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਥਪੇੜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨਾ ਉਲਝਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਹਨੂੰ
ਖੁਦ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ

वो शख्स जो सब कुछ संवारने की बात करता था
जो चांद को जमीन पर उतारने की बात करता था,
ऐसा हालातो के थपेड़ों ने उलझाया है उसको
खुद बिगड़ गया है जो दुनिया सुधारने की बात करता था
