The first drop of summer rain feels like a mirage

You came
like the summer rain.
Soft and sudden,out of the blue.
Oh,the way we loved!
Warm breeze and happier flowers
along the wet asphalt roads-
How I drank it all in,
knowing we had little time.
When you left
without the fanfare of farewells,
the clouds scurried away,
the sky lightened
and I inhaled
lungfulls of summer petrichor,
sweeter than the rest.

Like summer rain
A surprise
That never lasted
Long

But
The thirst in me
You quenched,
Like rain
Does
To the fields

It's raining heavily today
After the hot Summer,
The rain drops soothes the earth.
The dry and dust are being washed
The water droplets fall down
With a melody,
The aroma of first rain fills every where
The rain water moistures the environment.
The cool breeze makes feel better.
The trees are drenched with rain water,
Washing away the dust on it's leaves.
The clean green leaves are visible !
The feel of first rain,
After the hot summer is awesome.

One can love their life only when,
They embrace both joy and pain,
Finding beauty in each moment,
And dancing in the summer rain.
