I remember going with you,
to that bangle factory.
All dark and lifeless.
You'd make bangles with clay,
mould them into such perfect circles.

You never knew what
a circle meant, though.
Yet, you made sure I knew.

If I look back at it now,
You dealt mostly with circles.
Bangles at the factory, zeroes at home,
dark circles from those sleepless nights,
all of them, perfect circles.

So much for losing that one red circle,
between your brows, Sindhoor,
as they call it.
That one circle that counts,
for a woman, as they say it.
But, is it? Is it, really?

You made bangles all day,
but you'd never wear them.
And to top all of it,
you had me, a mess of a child.

You were a single mother.
I was a single child.
You made bangles.
You never broke them.
I made promises.
I'd never have broken them.

But you chose to leave,
to meet my father.

I had promises to keep,
but you chose to sleep.

वो ही मां, पिता बन
घर चलाने काम पे जाती है

जो मां प्यार से भोजन बनाती है
वो ही मां, पिता बन
भोजन सामग्री एवं राशन जुटाती है

जो मां लोरी गाकर सुलाती है
वो ही मां, पिता बन
पार्क में गेंद बल्ले से खिलाती है

जो मां घर सम्भालती है
वो ही मां,
संतान का भविष्य संवारने हेतु
माता-पिता दोनों का कर्त्तव्य
डटकर अकेले ही निभाती है!!!

"Wow!This is so real,Mom.What happened next?Did they separate?" her fever stricken excited daughter's eyes were glittering with curiosity.Her mother's stories were her only medicine in this fever.

"No,my dear!They lived happily ever after." her divorced mother lied hiding her tears.

जान थी वो उसकी,
केवल वो ही समझती,
रूठता था तो मनाती,
ग़लत बात पर डांट भी लगाती,
प्यार से मुंह बना के हंसाती,
दुनिया के अच्छे - बुरे का फर्क बताती,
जान थी वो उसकी,

हाथों से खाना खिलाती,
आंखो को बड़ी कर डराती,
अक्षरों से परिचय कराती,
बाहर घुमाती भी,
उसकी उंगली थामे चलती,
पर हल्की छींक से घबरा जाती,
अकेले में उसको देखकर रोती भी,
बिना सिंदूर लगाए,
उसकी हर ख्वाहिश पूरी करती,
जान थी वो उसकी।।

She can't stop this dizziness,
Last few days she were restless.
He broke the relationship with her,
She was broken allover.
With his seeds he left her,
It is true,She was a struggler.
After 9 months,she gave her birth;
It was the joyous moment in this earth.
She lifted her up,& stands tall,
She is divine,one & all.
After having grown up,Her daughter wrote a story,
It is a tribute,'single mother & her glory'.
In my eyes she's fighter,
single & shining super star.
