For us, the simple truths
you reveal in your enlightenment
are axioms of wisdom,
an end in themselves.

We forget that it required
a Siddhartha to go through all facets of life to become The Buddha.

You have gone like Siddhartha

Leaving me in the whirlwind of questions,
not making me wholly understand your plight -
though I know, words do not convince,
(even silence doesn't)
I would have deluded you, made you stay.
You had better left ; for better...

When you return as Buddha,

You will find, I have understood you
I'll be unaffected by your arrival
or your leaving again.
