साथ नहीं पर सफ़र आसान तो है
दूर जा के मिलने का गुमान तो है

पटरियों को बखूबी पता है
जमीं कहाँ पर थरथराई होगी..

व्यर्थ में बदनाम हैं सरहदें।
लोगों को जुदा करते हुए
मैंने अक्सर;
रेल की पटरियों को देखा है!

एक अजब सा सुकून है
बग़ल वाली पटरी पर
नज़र जमा कर नज़र दौड़ाने में,
मेरी नब्ज़ की रफ़्तार से चलती है
धूप की चमक उसपर...

"अजब पहेलियां है हाथों की लकीरों मे,
सफर ही सफर लिखा है, हमसफ़र कोई नहीं..!!"😊

Time

Have you ever closed your eyes and heard the ticking clock in the still silence. The monotonous unhurried unwavering breath of time. Untainted by its maker, its bearer or the witness. Almost as if it were an axiom that needed no governance or justification. So linear in its destiny, yet so free in a moment of itself. Like a railway track.
