पहली बेटी जो पैदा हुई एक जोड़े के घर।
दौड़ गई सबके मन में एक खुशी की लहर।
ददिहाल की सबसे छोटी और इकलौती गुड़िया।
4 भाइयों के बाद आयी ये आफत की पुड़िया।
ननिहाल में थी ये पहली और लाडली संतान।
नानी नाना और सबकी बस्ती थी जिसमें जान।
एक दिन एक राजकुमार लेकर चला जाएगा इसे
ना जाने कैसे ये सब विदा कर पाएंगे इसे??

I know that I don't have rights
to interfere in your Life Decisions !
Yet I wanna tell something
as an only child to this world !
Please never ever stop
with only one kid !
Have more than one kid !
Only children will go through
so many struggles in their later life !
To most only children,
'Sharing' and 'Adjustment' are
Unknown words...New words...
Yet only children have plenty
of good traits and skills,
they'll find few things,
few problems,
few responsibilities
difficult to face !

बेटा Doremon देख रहा था| हमने फटकार लगाई कि अब तुम छोटे बच्चे नहीं रहे कि हमेशा cartoon देखते रहो|
कहते ही हमने Channel बदल दिया और अभ्यास वश समाचार चला दिया| देखा अब एक नई क्रांति की शुरुआत हो रही है, एक नए अन्याय के ख़िलाफ़ हमारे संवाददाता आंदोलन पर उतर आए है| इस आंदोलन के प्रायोजक साबुन और फिनाइल बेचने वाले हैं क्योंकि उन्हीं का विज्ञापन किनारे से चल रहा था| हमारे चेहरे पर खीज दिख रही थी और बेटा हमको देख रहा था|
हमने हार नहीं मानी|
बेटे को संस्कार देना बहुत जरूरी है ये सोच कर हमने कहा, "Discovery और Nat Geo कभी देखते नहीं हो| कितना सोचा था तुम अच्छी चीज़ें देखोगे अच्छा सोचोगे और कितना कुछ जान पाओगे|" कहते-कहते ही हमने Discovery चला दिया|देखा कि वहाँ इस बात पर शोध चल रहा है कि, 'अनुकूल मौसम में शेर और शेरनी कितनी बार.... |'
झेंपते हुए हमने कनखियों से बेटे की ओर देखा और इससे पहले कि वह हमसे 'अनुकूल मौसम' पर एक भी सवाल करे, हमने Doremon चला दिया|
उसके बाद? बस मैंने एक भी शब्द और न बोल कर बेटे के साथ चुपचाप Doremon देखा|
