कभी किसी की भी झूठी तारीफों में आना नहीं
जो अहमियत नहीं रखते उनसे टकराना नहीं

गुरुर न करना तुम अपने होदेदार होने पे कभी
चार दिन की ही चाँदनी हो ज़्यादा इतराना नहीं

आवाम के पसीनो से बना पैसा है सोचना ज़रा
ये कोई तुम्हारे घर में निकला हुआ खजाना नहीं

जितना दिमाग हो उतना ही इस्तेमाल किया करो
ज़्यादा साज़िश रचने बेकार दिमाग चलाना नहीं

चुभ रहे होंगे काँटो की तरह ये जो अल्फ़ाज़ मेरे
हकीकत बयाँ की कोई प्यार का अफसाना नहीं

फख्र से सर उठा, वतन का नाम आते ही "सदफ़"
यही पे मरेंगे किसी के बाप का आशियाना नहीं
