is that time of the year
perfect enough
to curl up with a book,
mermaid blanket
and a mug of frothy milk latte
under the fairylights.

Give me a Marlboro
and a latte,
a cold one.

I'll shed the ash
not on the tray,
and would make
designs on the table.

Intermittently
I'll outline the design
with condense of
coffee.

Table top might then
reflect
what you did
with all you did.
And my taste buds
would taste
what my heart did.
