I'm Icarus, today.
Nah, I didn't fly too close to the sun by mistake.
I knew it would burn me
and I eagerly reached for it anyway.

I put the world on fire
and laughed
watched it burn my feet
as i danced on the
rhythm of
earth spinning
too close to the heat
as i drown myself in rays
of water
the world was spinning
as i fall in the death of sea,
as much as i do i know
no one will ever enjoy my
defeat
i had a smile coated on my lips
as the wings of mine cradle to sleep
i laughed hysterically as everyone
saw the flame in my eyes
i was a not a candle made of wax
i put the whole show of burning water
as my wings burnt out
and now as the night passes by
i sit by the ocean gazing the sun rays
i have come back clawing on shore
and now
i am grief struck that
my wings will never return but i am amazed
as i see the tale of icarus and this time
i will fight with moon as i will rise on tides,
elements of earth and i will prove with every grain of my body that sand is absolute better.

I am my own Icarus always.
