• Her miles of loneliness •
"Chanda hai tu sooraj hai tu,
O meri aankhon ka taara hai tu",
her favourite song from 1960's,
that she playfully sang for me,
my Nani, in her batik print saree,
during those humid days,"when
the heatwaves last all summer"
and she sliced the yellow, ripe
mangoes with her monochrome
beauty and meandering curls,
and a stain of sweat on her creased
forehead, of ages, ancient and revered.

AT Any AGe..When we View the World through Grateful Eyes.
We invite MIRACLES....
Grandmothers are just
ANTIQUE LITTLE GIRLS...💙-
I miss you a bit more than I used to miss you,
When I see wrinkles tell stories,
I wish I could hear yours too!
When I smell the aroma of good food,
It reminds me of you,
Hunger hasn't taught me too much lessons
as tasty food did,
In the deliciousness of food
I search for your love,
In the quest of you,
I remain, avva!

Granny's
tales of
hope are
the enduring
Power
boosters
for the
journey
called
life.-
The vanishing lusters,
Of her dismounting hair,
Her agonizing flusters,
At the sight of a stair.
Those wrinkled eyes,
Gleam with a beady dew,
As her memories slice,
Through the days I grew.

I'm not perfect but if you are with me,
“PERFECT” would be a small
word to define me.-

I remember her house painted
in pale blue with a palette of
gulmohar guarding her cracked
dainty walls. Every morning she
watered her tulsi plant while
chanting Hanuman Chalisa, her face
laced with a shy sorrowful smile
praying for well being of her family.

A magical smile arrive on her wrinkle face,
Because,
She saw her granddaughter after long days.
