I ignore the body ache which
I get after workout,
But these hormonal pimples & acne
hurt me little harder.

I ignore the financial constraint
I'm facing right now,
But this pressure of "being settled early"
bothers me little harder.

I ignore the "natural problem set" which
god has given me as being a girl,
But this stereotyping & superstitions
hurt me little harder.

I ignore the glass ceiling which
I have to break in order to reach
such heights in my career.
But when here I face gender bias
and unqual pay than it
pissed me off little faster.

But on a hanging glass ceiling carved with your stupendous fake promises
My silly trust on them and blind faith on you
I didn't realise you were too beyond that colourful glass
So when you left without any words
All those colors crash on the glass mingled together turning into a silent black blankness
Its irregular chunks collapsed on me haphazardly
I don't see this sky for the shards of that broken glass pierce my eyes
I don't see this earth for pieces of my heart keep on falling
I don't exist anymore as me
That blankness has engulfed me slowly and has become a part of my existence
It defines me
It's the new me...
