इस भीड़ में जितना बन संवर के घर में है हम,
दिखावे की छाव में हो कर भी धूप में है हम।

पवित्र परमाता ही नहीं होता कुछ विभक्त है हम,
रामचरित्र का पता नहीं कितने अशक्त है हम।

देखो अपने चारो ओर क्या खूब देश-भक्त है हम,
अम्न की है जिस आंगन में जंग उसी के नहीं है हम।

एकमात्र शुरूवाती वक्त है जिसमे होते सरल हैं हम,
त्वरित्र है आज कल के बच्चे जिनसे डरते है हम।

माँ की सोच अब 'पुराने ज़माने' की लगने लगी।
पढ़ाने के लिए जिसने अपने 'नए कंगन' बेचे थे।

उस लड़की के कपडे देख कर उन्होने सोचा,
"इससे ज़्यादा कपड़े पहन कर तो मैं नहाने जाता हूँ!!"
