APM Poetry Marathon 3/8:
Write a poem that begins with the words, "Every rose has a thorn"-
Every rose has a thorn.
Every yearning has a rush.
Like that song, we sung the other
day.
Half forgotten lyrics, several incorrect
melodies and yet such precision.
Given a chance, we'd never actually get
rid of the thorns adorning a rose.
We'd much rather have the trail
of red ,bleed out of our finger tips.
We'd much rather leave that song
incomplete and sing it with the same
incoherence the next time.-
every rose
has a thorn,
proven futile
in times of chaos,
the one
that should prick
invaders,
ends up
digging
its own skin
when scared.

Every Rose Has A Thorn
"Nobody is perfect, I know.
But when has that ever stopped two people
from falling in love?"-
Every rose has a thorn
everything beautiful harbours a beast inside
with every bit of peace chaos is born
in every brightness does a blind spot hide
every innovation brings a grey shade of scorn
a beautiful bud grows for every flower dried
a throne of responsibilities for a crown worn
a glimmer of hope for every dream that died
-
Every rose has thorns
Every scars have story
Every emotion has depth
Every moon has earth
Every night have sun
But darling you are just
Mine...-
Every rose has
a thorn, you'll
know my value
when I'm gone.
For you, love
is a joy ride.
You expect it
to be
smooth & nice.
But remember, when
you love someone,
you've got to
love them whole
coz every person
like a rose,
is beautiful with
their own thorn!-
Every rose has a thorn....
Which make her strong....
When you left her to mourn....
She realised the presence of her thorn....
It became her sword....
Now it's your turn to recall....
She portrait your death....
And you are on your last breath.....
Now..there is no need to mourn....
Don't forget... every rose has a thorn....-
Every rose has a thorn
He was a rose,
pricked with thorns
A bolt from blue,
resulted him to
wore his feet out!
Being the only child,
he took responsibilities
On his descent shoulder!
The burden,
motivated him to work harder
For forever
extinction of his poverty..-
