उसे अल्हड़ मस्त बयार कहूँ
मौसम की कोई बहार कहूँ
लिख दूँ बरखा की बूँद उसे
सावन का पहला प्यार लिखूं

छोटी बिंदी बड़ा सा गजरा
छम छम करती उसकी पायल
सरके चूनर कांधे से जब
तिल गर्दन का करे है घायल

चले तो चूड़ी शोर मचाए
लबों की लाली करे है पागल
नज़र लगे ना उसे जहां की
मैं तोहफ़े में दे आया काजल

या अल्लाह! मन में भरमाए बेताबी।

यूं तो, घायल होते लोग अदाओं से।
पर कत्ल, अक्सर होते इन्हीं कजरारी खंजर से।
