दहेज लेना, दहेज देना है मानो जैसे कोई कहर,
अपनी नज़रों से यह बात कह गयी आयेशा।

दो परिवार को जोड़ा, दो साल पहले जिस बेटी ने,
उस बन्धन को तोड़ आज दह गयी आयेशा।

माना खुदकुशी लाज़मी नहीं, जी लेना चाहिए,
मगर इंसान जीने देते नही, कह गयी आयेशा।
