अपने मद में पड़ा रहा वो,छीन तक ली उसकी छाया...
करती रही वो प्रेम फिर भी,अस्तित्व नहीं मिटा पाया...
कोमल से कठोर बनी जब,अक्ल ने उससे हाथ छुड़ाया...
जब अडिग वो खड़ी मिली तब ,शीशी भर "तेज़ाब" फेंक आया...
चींख पुकार से गूंजा नभ भी,सबने हाहाकार मचाया...
जब प्यारी सूरत का छिलका,पिघलता पानी सा बह आया....
टपकते चेहरे संग डट कर, जीवन उसने क्या खूब बिताया....
कोमल बन कर न कर पाई,जल कर इतना नाम कमाया....
किसी रोज़ उस चौराहे पर,फिर से उसे वही पर पाया....
एक कदम बढ़ा कर आगे,बड़े प्रेम से हाथ मिलाया....
झलकों के पीछे से चमकती ,
आंखों का जब नूर दिखाया....
"चांद सा मुख" लिए भीतर के,
"सूरज" को वो जला न पाया....
