देने आए हैं हुक़्मरान चश्मे नजर के

Where criminals rise to power, punished are benefactors.
And despite all this lawlessness, the state is in a slumber.
Where an old couple loses a son, a sister loses brother.
The sinners are nurtured in the shadow of the priests.
And who were supposed to be the saviors, feed the beast.
The police-criminal nexus is an evergreen age-old tale.
This is where, at every step, the governance always fails.
Left is left of nothing, nothing is right in Right.
Fallen is the state, anarchy stands upright.

तानाशाह

जन्म से हो चंचल प्रकृति मासूम नटखट
वाकपटु बड़बोला होता वो कपटी लंपट
नहीं करता शिक्षा पूरी, छोड़ देता स्कूल
नहीं सीखता सदाचार शिष्टाचार उसूल

झूठी बात फैला के नफरत की बात बता के
पाता वो शासन सपने सुहाने दिखा दिखा के
जब न होते वादे पूरे रह जाते स्वप्न अधूरे
उठने लगती आवाजें चलते प्रश्नों के छुरे

होता जाता वो निर्लज्ज लूटेरा भ्रष्टाचारी
दंभी दमनकारी बहरा हत्यारा अत्याचारी
गद्दी जाने के डर से बन जाता तानाशाह
कोख से नहीं जन्मता कोई भी तानाशाह

हाँ, साहब मैं गंवार हूँ
अच्छा हुआ मैंने ऊँची ऊँची डिग्रिंया नहीं पाई है
उन बड़े-बड़े नाम वालों विश्वविद्यालय से
जहाँ सिखाई जाती हैं, चाटुकारिता
और किसी खास वर्ग के अर्थ के लिए
निरर्थक बातों को लोगों पर थोपना

हाँ साहब, मैं गंवार ही हूँ
मेरी डिग्रीया भी ख़रीदी नहीं गई है
मैं तो इसे छिना हैं, लड़कर और मरकर
मैंने सिखा हैं, लड़ना उन चाटुकार तुच्छे लोगों से
जिसे तुम्हारे सभ्य समाज में गंवारपन कहा जाता है

वक़्त का इंतेज़ार है
जब ख़ामोश हो जाएगी ये चाटुकारिताएं
और सुनी जायेंगी, लड़ी जाएंगी
गवारों की फ़ौज के संग-संग
लिखनें को एक नई धारा

मैं गंवार हूँ साहब
मेरी बातों पर ध्यान न देना
पढ़कर भी हैं, तुम्हें ख़ामोश ही रहना
असभ्य समझकर छूटेंगे तुम्हारे मन में हँसी
इस हँसी को देखता हूँ,
कब-तक हैं, तुम्हें बरकरार रखना
