That Princess dress of first birthday
Feeling mother's essence in every saree
Wearing dad's long shirts and
searching my hands
All fit under brother's tshirt
That traditional attire for an occasion
That comfortable clothing for seasons
That stained apparel, uniform,lab coat
and jerseys taking me to a pleasant journey that I forgot somewhere
in my professional life.

Khaki half pant with
sky blue half shirt !
remained as my school
uniform for almost a decade !
one pair enough !
putting it on each day !
kept sunday for wash day !
no dhobi no press !
self help best help ! above all
it was my school dress !!

because every piece of clothing has a memory attached to it and
reminds me of the
beautiful things around.

I may not have the
most fashionable clothes,
but the ones I have are
reflective of myself.

That blushed red
My cheeks bore
Was the coyness of
The red velvety dress I wore....

Special was the day
So was my attire,
For that was a memorable date
With my adorable lover....

MEMORY WITH DRESS:
I was draped in a saree of his favourite colour,
He loved me in a unique way just like a scholar;
We met on a dinner table under the stars & moon,
And fed our hunger without using a spoon;
He said you’re a complete delight to watch,
And I replied you look like the cover of a royal scotch.

My parents felts very much proud when i brought a shirt piece for my Baba nd a saree for my Maa from my 1st salary...!!!
