There was darkness, at the end of the tunnel,
I ran towards it, this place
was creeping me out, the light, ugh,
scorching through my skin,
this heat, burning up my flesh,
I wanted some relief, some darkness
where I could lay and rest,
my family was waiting on the other end,
I had been gone for days,
wandering through the bright lights,
my skin was burnt, and my throat
parched, it had been days
since I tasted fresh blood.
Sprinting towards the end, my mind raced,
collected data as it went;
this town was deserted too,
hard luck, finding food,
the papers last read of a zombie apocalypse,
I wonder to myself,
how would zombies taste?
