There's a gun inside my mouth, a malignant blend of unknown memories, untrodden thoughts, irresistible questions, and paralyzing flashbacks. The trigger is my body, unbestowed fingers of death curling around the trigger, lustful to be pulled, no warning shots. It's smoking, like words curling into an untold story, like tears carving a river toxic across my face, like nightmares intertwining, like the light of stars becoming dim, and me dimmer.

Habits manifest with what are called triggers. A deep rooted habit will have multiple triggers.
For example, a smoker longs for a cigarette whenever he takes the first sip of his cuppa. That's a trigger. It is actually a particular neuron in his brain cortex flashing. Then all the neurons along the habit path start flashing. Our friend's lips start to quiver by its longing to hold a fag. He pulls out the pack, takes a cigarette, puts it in his mouth, strikes the lighter, draws the first puff, takes into his lungs, then leaves out the smoke through his nostrils ever slowly. Wow, heaven indeed.
By repeatedly submitting to the trigger, and enjoying the action, the neuronal path becomes etched. It is like the beaten path over a lawn, created by frequent walking by hundreds of people. That means, every time the trigger neuron fires, the habit action follows compulsively. Like water flowing down a groove.
So, how do you get out a habit that has taken control of you?-
People are not what they tell about them
Neither what they believe about them
Nor what they think about them
They are what triggers them!-
Real threat is not the ones who pull triggers but the ones who make guns.
