struck between the innocence of childhood
And maturity of adulthood,
A teenage's life is a complete disarray
Some say that we are grownups now,
While some taunt that we are still a kid!
Totally confused with this stage,
I'm a teenager trying to find
MY HIDDEN SELF!!
The age of transformation,
Is none less than spending a decade with
ALIENS all around!
The mounting pressure of studies,
With physical and emotional changes,
All make me feel as of
I am the lone bearer of all the world's pains!
People find faults in us,
And tease us for our looks,
No one knows how it is
To live a teen's life!
It seems that we can't fit anywhere,
And we shall remain lonely forever
We are crushed between exams
And expectations from parents
And also between unjust challenges and peer pressure
"But still don't give up",says my friend,
Rise up and prove your worth
In front of the ruthless world!"

Wish I could forget these 'three' days in my life. I shout, 'Ma, I have got periods', from the lavatory and she rushes to the attached bedroom; removes the bath mat and takes away the clothes from the floor or somewhere where I could brush when I move past it. Closes the puja room and patents me, a mat, lota and a plate and clothes for three days. Neither can any one touch it nor use any of it. I become a sewage, if someone happens to touch me, they will have to take a bath at the very moment. 'Ma, I'm still waiting for the napkins', I shouted again. Rule number 10001 says that 'Nobody shall hand me any living or non-living matter; one can place it on the floor. And if I had to pass on something, I shall also do the same and the receiver should cleanse it thoroughly before using it'. Why can't I become a boy?

Reading the page, I laughed hard. Now, I don't have such rules but I wish I could go back to that time. I was complaining about 'untouchability' then; now all I want is 'stay lazy three days'....
