Gone are the days
We travelled to woods
And took
The road less taken

Now we stroll
In the mall
And search for
A commode less used

Intentional strolls around the tomb,
and then finding a corner place,
to relax her body,
is her way to say,
"I want you to close to me".

Intentional selfies to come closer
to you, excuses of taking pictures
in a single frame,
is my way of saying
" I know that".

I thought
you were the owner
of a heart having more worth
than that of gold,
But what I needed
was to be controlled,
I just had your thoughts
in my mind being strolled,
And when I couldn't resist it,
I decided to be bold,
But just came to know
That like the way ice is...
The same way your heart is cold,
That where I expected
to get my feelings behold...
I couldn't get it told!!

I walk past your window
You peep out for a while
And my pace does slow
You wave, wink and you smile.

We speak across the pane
and you take in the view
of a world so mundane
and a girl who's nothing new.

I've been standing on the street
and you've been hanging halfway
I shuffle my weary feet
and you ask me if I'll stay.

Hopelessly waiting by
I'm a freak in the streets
and you make me sigh
so I write you down on sheets.

I knock down no walls
You open no doors
So, I carry on my stroll
while you stare out your window.

Class ends. My love blooms like dahlias, lilies red and white. I wait in the sun-shade for a glimpse which shadows my existence. I see her, a gleeful riot, red and white. She paints a lovely drought in my dreadful monsoon. We take a stroll and eat words. She has poetry in her words and I like rehearsing its verses. Though I never look in her eyes, it has universes and I fear spaces, distances, being left alone. Tongue-tied I walk by or a few words as of scattered October clouds.
She is worried about cyclone, home. She brings in me both, cyclone and home. 'Don't your friends curse me?' nags a second time. I have stopped mentioning her. My sanctuary and only sanity. I fear they may fall in love, with you. Lovers don't curse. Our walk ended like torrential rains and she bid me bye in a storm of memories. Our ways part apart, we both have distances to walk. Would we be strangers again when we meet after a fortnight? You, shy and distanced. I, a bit more of you.

Fresh morning breeze hinting a drizzle,
I step out for a stroll, nervously.
I loiter for a bit and return to shelter.
I know it's a day just like yesterday;
It will rain and then dry up, eventually.
