Two stars miles away from each other,
Wanted to burn in each other's light.

Have I lost my ability to look at the entire sky ?

Instead of counting my ever companions; the stars,
My eyes are constantly fixed upon that one star,
That shares your name.
Sure that's not the brightest star I see,
But yes, that's all I see.
An unusual equilibrium exists between my gaze and that one star,
And no matter how hard I'm trying to look away,
All the stardust even combined will never be enough,
To help me shift my sight.
That's the power you have over me.
I've seen many people losing themselves among stars,
And I never understood before,
What was so captivating about these twinkling heavenly bodies.
But now that I'm losing myself,
I know what's different with the stars.
Yes, I'm a stargazer,
Because I've found my star.
