कुछ विरह में जल रहे थे,
कुछ ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा पूँजी बटोरने में लगे थे,
कुछ अपंग थे,
कुछ लोगों ने सच में
उस तरफ़ देखा ही नहीं था,
और कुछ हट्टे कट्टे लोग
इधर उधर देख रहे थे
कि कहीं कोई उसे बचा न ले,
