As I gaze, the night sky leaves me amazed,
the sparkle in my eyes, has been erased.
The shine of the twinkling stars galore,
made me think, wanting to see some more.

Then the brightest star descended on earth
by my side it stood, it was like a rebirth.
It bequeathed the shine, so I could explore,
made me think, wanting to see some more.

Be the star, that makes others shine encore
make them think, wanting to see some more.

The abysmal truth

A man started his painful journey into the wild
unaware of what lies ahead, since he was a child
He fancies challenges and the adventures ahead,
will he survive the end, is what he would dread.

On the way to the destination of destruction,
he amasses wealth and all the recognition.
Now the end is near, but no one is around;
The gold, the crown, the titles still profound!

What did he do all the way in his journey of life?
So many struggles with the affliction of strife.
But little did he understand – the importance
of the human connect and now there's no chance.

You know those moments where your sense of fighting a fight or not fighting it, is kind of haywire,

Those are the exact moments where your sense self-preservation is reduced to have a realization of your own breathing,
Irrespective of how stuck you feel,
Your body's instinct to save you first kicks in,
And it's absolutely okay to experience this,
because it's your moment of testing ,
Own it unapologetically,
And you will find yourself floating ,
Doing alright if not great,
And in those times,that's jus' enough!

Hope you remember this during your time of trials,
And when you start gaining your sense of self and
find another person in the same chaos,
Pay it forward as your utmost honest truth of survival,
Nothing more, nothing less!

Pray It Forward

She kneels down by her bed and prays.
I see her back head bowed wiggling toes.
Her stuffed toys face her it seems
She is praying to a panel of care-bear Gods.
Tiny hands clasped furrowed brow
Deep in concentrated meditation.
Her teeny voice warming
My heart like it always does.

She says, Hey God, and I have to smile.
She asks after Her welfare and I want to hug her.
She almost sings in dulcet tones,
Thank you for my mommy
And I can't hold back tears.
She reminds me to pray to thank
To soak in my immense fortitude.

I watch her finish from the door
Then go on with my life
My heart full of joy
Poised to pray it forward
Ready to pay it forward.
