दुनिया कहती है—"तू तो पत्थर है,
न दर्द तुझे, न कोई असर है।"
मुस्कान ओढ़े, मैं खड़ा रहा,
भीतर आँधियाँ, बाहर सहर है।

कंधों पे बोझ, उम्मीदों का,
हर रिश्ता मेरे साहस पर टिका।
गिर भी जाऊँ, दिखा न सकूँ,
आँखें नम हों, यह हक भी किसका?

जब-जब खुद को बाँध लिया,
टूटे सपने चुपचाप सहे।
रातों में आँसू पूछे मुझसे—
"किससे कहोगे? कौन तुम्हें सुने?"

दिल चाहता है, कोई समझे,
इस ख़ामोशी का मर्म गहरा।
कभी मैं भी सिर टिकाकर रो लूँ,
कोई कहे—"मैं हूँ तुम्हारा सहारा।"

पर ये चाँद अब ठहर सा गया,
मेरी बाहों में जैसे समा गया।
अब ना छुपने की कोई वजह बची,
ना कोई दूरी, ना कोई बेख़याली रही।

हँसी उसकी तारों को भी चिढ़ाती,
शरारतों में मेरी धड़कन उलझाती।
बादल भी अब पास आने लगे,
चाँदनी में मीठे गीत गाने लगे।

साथ उसका हर रात संवारता है,
हर लम्हा जैसे कोई ख्वाब सज़ाता है।
चुपके से कानों में कहती है वो,
"अब तो बस तुम्हारी हूँ, सदा के लिए।"

वो चाँद सी अठखेलियाँ करती है
कभी झाँकती है, कभी छुप जाती है
बादलों की ओट में कैसे उसे देखूँ
करवटें बदल बदल कर सोया ज्यूं
मुस्कराती हुई याद हृदय को भायी
मेरे बेचैन हृदय को फिर चैन लायी
आँखें की भाषा का कोष खोल दिया
बिना कहे अश्रुधारा ने सब बोल दिया
इस लुका छुपी से, उसके दूर होने से
मैं डर जाता हूँ इस खुशी के खोने से
प्रेम से उसने फिर अंगड़ाई ली और
आलिंगन में आकर मीठी लड़ाई की
कुछ भी मत सोच लिया करो तुम
जीवन भर करूंगी नाक में दम
ऐसे कहाँ मुझसे दूर जाने पाओगे
चकोर की भांति चांद के पास लौट आओगे

Tujh Se Milne Ki Taalash

Raaste tanha hai, saaye gum hai,
Hawaon mein teri baat ka ye shor hai,
Har ek kadam pe sirf tera khayal hai,
Dil ko bas teri deed ka intezaar hai.

Raat ke chaand se baat karta hoon,
Tere chehre ke noor ko maangta hoon,
Har sitaara tujhe dhoondta hai aasman mein,
Aur main sirf tere paas aane ko tarasta hoon.

Judaai ka har pal ek sadi lagta hai,
Dil ke kone mein bas tera ehsaas jagta hai,
Mere alfaz bhi aabroo mein lipte hain,
Har saans tujhe pukaar ke bechain si banti hai.

Aa jaldi se, is khamoshi ko tod de,
Meri dhadkano ko apne saath jod de,
Har intezaar ke aage tera pyaar hai,
Bas tu hi tu, meri har subah aur shaam hai.
